Social Welfare Studies Course

We train specialists who are highly specialized as social welfare professionals and can play an active role in various fields, including practice, education, and research.

Master Course

Train professionals in social welfare-related fields who are responsible for practical work
We develop and improve the skills of social work professionals, train supervisors, and foster human resources who will contribute to education and research in the welfare society.

Qualification

Professional Social Researcher
In order to build a welfare society, it is indispensable to identify issues to be clarified and resolved in daily life. By qualifying for “Social Researchers” and earning the prescribed credits, students can obtain the qualification for "Professional Social Researchers," which certifies their social research skills.

Career paths after completion

Professionals in social welfare-related facilities and institutions, hospitals, and other various organizations and educators in social welfare-related professional educational institutions who can exhibit leadership in professional improvement, workplace education, and management, or advancement to the doctoral course at a graduate school

Doctoral Course

Train researchers and educators in the field of social welfare and other related fields
While student aim to submit academic research papers in Japan and overseas or to prepare and complete their doctoral dissertations under the guidance of dissertation advisors on their research themes (issues), we help them obtain doctoral degrees (in social welfare studies) and train researchers and educators who can play an active role in the field of social welfare and other related fields.

Psychology Studies Course

Contribute to building a better welfare society by solving “mental problems”
The Psychology Studies Course trains professional psychologists who will work with two qualifications and professional researchers who will bring advanced specific knowledge.

Clinical Psychology Area

  • We provide professional education to help students acquire clinical skills such that they will have the ability to assess psychological problems and their backgrounds and prospects, be with clients to reliably support them, and play an active role in partnerships with communities.
  • Students will cultivate their integrated practical skills in actual clinical psychology through clinical psychology practice at the attached Shukutoku Center for Clinical Psychology and practical training at contract training facilities.

Qualifications

Clinical Psychologist
As a class 1 designated graduate school of the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists, we train clinical psychologists who can “be with others.”
Certified Public Psychologist
We provide the preparatory curriculum for the examination for Certified Public Psychologists.
