Admission Information for International Students

Undergraduate Entrance Examination

Qualifications for Application
Those who meet all of the following requirements 1 to 4.
  1. Those who have the intention to enroll in the College as their first (and only) choice.
  2. Those who are not Japanese nationals and have completed 12 years of normal school education in a foreign country. Or those who are recognized as equivalent by the University.
  3. Those who have sufficient Japanese proficiency in studying and researching at the University.
  4. It is desirable to have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students.

Graduate School Entrance Examination

Social Welfare Studies Course

Course Classification of Entrance Examination (Examinees) Examination Subjects, etc.
Master Course International Students Social welfare studies, essay, research plan, and interview
Doctoral Course International Students Master's thesis, English, research plan and other documents, and interview
Essay
Multifaceted ability to understand problems, basic understanding in the field of social welfare studies, ability to compose and express thesis, etc.

English-Japanese translation and reading comprehension: One English-Japanese dictionary is allowed to be used (however, electronic dictionaries are not acceptable)

Social Welfare Studies
Understanding of systems, trends, ideology, values, ethics, and academic research terminology in the field of social welfare (including adjacent fields)

Interview
Motive for application, study environment, basic qualities as a social welfare professional or researcher, etc.

Research Plan
Ability to compose research plans in line with the research motive, basic ability to execute research, etc.

Psychology Studies Course

Wording, vocabulary, and English-Japanese translation: One English-Japanese dictionary is allowed to be used (however, electronic dictionaries are not acceptable)

Psychology
Basic psychology, psychological methodology, clinical/developmental psychology, and social psychology

Interview
Motive for application, study environment, basic qualities as a clinician or researcher, etc.
(Group interview: situational readiness, cooperation, and individuality, etc.)

Research Plan
Ability to compose research plans in line with the research motive, basic ability to execute research, etc.
